I have several hundred cards from that set. For some reason, many of their widths measure 3 5/16 inches. Exactly 1/16 inch off. In every case, the height is perfect.
I wonder whether they were actually trimmed or did this happen when the card was manufactured. I have so many examples where the width is exactly 1/16 inch off that it makes me wonder.
Would a grading company come back and say they were trimmed?
Anyone have any opinion on this?

In my experience, some specific cards seem to usually come shorter too. 1/16th off doesn’t mean trimmed automatically, not for this issue. A lot are trimmed but there are also significant variance. I’ve owned 6 Hodges Batting trying to get an untrimmed one and come to conclude this card just usually measures short. Or my luck is horrific…
