Default Estate Sale Find - 1939 Tigers Ball

New member and wanted to share this...my best estate sale find.

About 10 years, I was at an estate sale in Dallas, near Dallas Country Club. It was the last day and there were two baseballs in a case. One was a cheap 1992 ASG printed signatures ball.

The other one was old and was labeled "Team Signed Ball?" I asked to see it and although the condition is poor I recognized "Chas Gehringer" and "Rudy York" and thought, that's a 1930s Tigers ball. It was half off of $60, so I paid $30 for it.

After researching more I determined it's a 1939 Tigers ball. Greenberg on the sweet spot, though very faded. Earl Averill is on it too. Not bad for $30
