FS: Brown Bros. Type 1 photo, the Polo Grounds, taken from above the 155th Street Viaduct during Game 1 (which the Giants won, behind Christy Mathewson) of the 1911 World Series. Remarkable, detail-filled image. The Truly Warner clock in the right field bleachers reads 2:50pm, just under an hour after the start of the game. Note the in-progress, unfinished new steel and concrete grandstand, still under construction after the fire at the beginning of the season. Note too the spectators sitting in the small stand someone has built on the rooftop above the Uneeda Biscuit sign. One of the more interesting photos of the Polo Grounds you will ever see, taken during the World Series!
PSA slabbed Type 1. Photo size is 4.5" x 6.5"
