Default Is a PSA Membership Required to Send in Autographs?

I have a bunch of cool autographed cards (Bench RC, Carlton RC, Schmidt RC, Carter RC, various Aarons, 1973 Kaline Band-Aid, etc.) that should really be housed in slabs for future consideration.

1) Do I need to be a (paid) member of PSA to send in autographed cards to simply be authenticated and slabbed?

2) If I want the card and autograph to be given number grades, does that service change things with regards to membership requirements?

3) Any idea of what sort of timeframe is involved in this kind of pursuit these days? Weeks/months/years?

Thanks for any help!

Spelling "Yastrzemski" correctly without needing to look it up since the 1980s.
