When you started collecting so long ago, almost every deal sounds "sick" by today's standards.

One of the best deals was a deal my dad got for me as a present. He traded two Daily News "715" Hank Aaron newspapers PLUS 35$ for a Red t206 Cobb. The Cobb is a Polar bear and a bit rough but no creasing. In any case, great deal.

Another is when I was at a card show around 1987(ish) and this table had binders of T206 beaters. Backs weren't a big deal back then so everything was priced "3 for 15$" and the such. I was only 12 and I think I blew my show budget there (wish I had done more damage). I got a Kling Sov150, a MyersAB, and the real coup was a Hal Chase Dark Cap Red Hindu. My t206 focus at the time were HOF Portraits...So then, and I think I am remembering this correctly, as I was leaving, he had this really beat up Cy Young Portrait. I know I didn't pay more than 10/15 dollars for it but don't think it counted as part of the 3 for 15.

I still dream about that table...and time machines
