I think this is spot on Al. The unperfed 55's never got cut, who knows why but maybe the set was not selling well? Many of the 132 illos. were based upon the inset drawings on the regular 1955 cards, covering nos. 1-148 with about two dozen exceptions. Between that and the players who didn't make the cut, I think they never planned to issue any more than the original 66. Topps possibly kept a few on hand for reference as well and I'm not sure how these entered the hobby. While many drawings are crude, it's a colorful set and the side-by-side panoramas were amazing
The 67 Standups can be completed in both finished and (I think) proof form. They remain one the rarest issued sets of the era from Topps.
