Read the paragraph on the back - the last line talks of how he is leading the league in batting for the 1907 season.
There is some paper loss on the back of that corner - not sure what is going on with it. If a guy was going to replace a lost corner, you would think they would have clipped a corner from card from the same set - that side writing is the same in all the Detroit cards.
