Default Bust Out Your Tuxedos!! SGC Graded Card Reveal

Any folks here interested in sharing your returned graded card submissions, particularly from SGC? If so, show us what you got! I know many here view SGC & PSA as the most respected TPGs, cost and grading delays notwithstanding.

Recently, I sent in a large number of cards of various age and condition; a couple were really rough, and I expected grades of “1” but just wanted them slabbed. Others were newer and nicer. The content crossed several sports. Was interested to see if they still grade in a manner consistent with the past two decades, given that I have not sent in an order since the start of the pandemic. For many years, I’ve sent in cards of all types to be graded and gotten very used to the standards. In short, I’d have to agree with what many have been stating: grading has become slightly more strict. It seems less about eye appeal and more about technicalities, which is fine, as long as there is consistency.

Here are a dozen images from my order being returned. Given that SGC now scans all items (hi-rez, no additional charge), I have a clear picture of each item. Overall, love SGC’s service and holder, but have to agree they are tougher than ever… what does a dude need to do to get a 1.5 LOL! The service was fast and I’m still a satisfied customer, though I’d love a lower cost bulk submission level and a set registry!

Feel free to share your ‘returns’ here.
