Rose Co. Postcard Find of 1979
I posted a few days ago about my Rose Co. postcard find in 1979 here in Traverse City, MI. Several Net54 members have asked me to list the Rose Co. cards that were in my find. Here they are, with the notation that I sold the cards in early 1980 to Frank Keetz.
There were 51 Rose Co. cards, with 50 different. The average condition was very good.

Delehanty, McBride, Milan, Freeman; Athletics (AL) - Schreck, Oldring, Dygert; Philadelphia (NL) - Magee, Sparks, Grant, Bransfield; New York (AL) - Orth (2), Hemphill, Glade, Newton; St. Louis (NL) Beebe, Karger, O'Rourke; St. Louis (AL) - Stone, Jones, Howell, Powell, Williams; Cleveland (AL) - Bradley, Leibhardt, Rhoades; Boston (NL) - Ritchey, Beaumont, Brown; Brooklyn (NL) - McIntire, Maloney; Deteroit (AL) - Schmidt.
In addition to the Rose Co. postcards, I purchased A.C. Dietsche postcards of the Michigan football (15 diff.) Detroit Tigers, Series I and Series II (28 in all) and Chicago Cubs (15). There were also 11 different 1908 Wolverine News postcards plus 3 from H.M. Taylor.
There were also 50 PT-3 pins, 7 Buster Brown Detroit Tigers pins including Cobb and 4 PB-3 Morton's Pennant Winners pins including Cobb.
The coin store dealer wanted $400 and said he wouldn't take a penny less. I couldn't get my credit card out fast enough. All of this great buy is long gone, but will always be remembered.
