Default SOLD 1933 Pacific Coast League Game Used Ball

From the estate of Lloyd Johnson presented here is a genuine vintage Game Used Baseball from a PCL game played on April 23, 1933 between the Mission Reds and Seattle Indians. Johnson's 2nd win of the season as he noted on the ball

With the Presidential stamping of Hyland Baggerly on one of the panels. Baggerly was the President of the Pacific Coast League from 1932-1935. For vintage ball collectors this ball itself is a very hard to find ball from the year of DiMaggio's hitting streak, see below.

A couple of unique things regarding this baseball and that year of 1933. This ball comes from the estate of Lloyd Johnson, who had a long distinguished Minor League Career, which you can see at Baseball Reference. He did make it to the Majors, but he played only "1" game. Pitched to 3 batters in 1 inning in 1934 for the Pittsburgh Pirates, then never pitched again in the Majors, a regular Moonlight Graham.

Johnson somehow managed to have a Goudey Baseball Card as well, not bad for a player who played in only 1 inning of 1 game (shown in the image gallery, but not included, just taken from the internet).

Another special thing about Johnson and 1933, this was the year Joe DiMaggio played in this very same PCL and set a record which still stands of hitting safely in 61 games!!!!! Johnson pitched to DiMaggio during that streak & season, so pretty cool tie in. This would have been the same model ball used during DiMaggio's streak. The Baggerly Presidential stamping would only be seen on the 1932, 33, 34 & 35 ball.

The 1933 Mission Reds also featured a young and upcoming 1st baseman name Babe Dahlgren, who would become more famously known as the man who replaced Lou Gehrig. So good chance Dahlgren threw around this game used ball on that day in 1933.

Bucky Walters also played on this team. The Seattle team featured Rip Sewell & George Burns (Ty Cobb's teammate for many years).

So several unique tie-ins makes this a very special ball. Don't miss out. Likely won't see another one anytime soon.

Only ball is for sale, the other pictures were just taken from the internet and are not included.
