I collect a lot of different modern cards. I don't buy packs or boxes anymore though. I pretty much just collect Pirates focusing on 1st Bowman autographed prospects, complete Topps runs of series 1, 2, and updates all #'d gold parallels, and any vintage design like Heritage, Archives, Gypsy Queen, Allen&Ginger, etc.

I also collect all the Topps All-Star Rookie cards with the trophy icon on them. Yes, they still produce them. I pretty much have a complete run going back to 1960.

I'll also pick up rookie cards of the players I really like. I normally get their first Topps card with the RC logo and again they will normally be #'d gold parallels.

However, I have an addiction so I buy way more than just that. I pretty much buy anything I think looks cool. Even though I consider myself to be primarily a Pre-War Pirates Type Collector, my collection is probably 75% modern considering I collect Steelers and Penguins too as well as modern football RCs.
