Jay, I'm in the same boat you're in, and thinking exactly like you. I have 20 different pre-war sets where I'm down to needing only three cards or less to complete them, and less than 10 cards to go on 8 more pre-war sets. And also like you, a lot of the still missing ones are the really rare cards, or the big stars.
My biggest problem is I'm also a bit of a type card collector as well, and always get distracted when something different or unusual pops up that I may not have seen in quite some time, if ever at all before. However, it does make it a blessing from the collecting standpoint in that no matter where or what show or AH sale/auction I go to or look at, I always seem to come across something I'm interested in. I guess that can also be looked at as a curse as well. LOL
