FS: Rare and historic early auto racing photos, pasted on album board, of French driver Albert Clement's accident site where he died while practicing in Dieppe for the 1907 French Grand Prix.
I won't go into many details about Clement as I'm sure anyone who is interested in these photo will know of his life and career with Clement-Bayard. It is also likely you've seen the well-known postcards of the accident site.
On offer is a single board from a french photo album, containing four photos which I believe could be the original photos from the crash site, including the photos that were used to make the postcards. The photos are for sure, at the very least, c.1907 copies of the photos made from the original negatives. The title on the page, written in ink, is "The death of Albert Clement."
Each of the four photos measures about 3-1/8" x 4-1/8", with one (bottom left) being a bit smaller. The album page is about 9-1/2" x 12"
Both board and photos are in good antique condition.
