It was pitched by Larry Sherry and hit by HOFer Mickey Mantle to ground out to 2nd base and end the game. The Last Out Ball as was custom from any game Lolich pitched was then given to Lolich as he saved EVERY last out baseball from any of his game victories, this also is indicated on the LOA from Lolich. He would then take the ball home and make his notations on the ball: the teams, score and date.
A great example of this can be seen when Lolich closed out the 1971 ALL STAR Game. Watch it on YouTube and watch when Johnny Bench makes the last out at about 2:26:00 of the game, you will see the ball given to Lolich, and he puts it deeply in his pocket. All players knew whenever he pitched the last out ball went to him:

The ball comes with an LOA from Steve Grad and Beckett for the Mickey Lolich signature on it, and comes with an LOA from Mickey Lolich himself, testifying that he saved EVERY Final Out game ball from when he pitched during his career. You can read more in picture 4 below about the great detail Lolich went through to get these Final Out game balls. What better provenance then Lolich himself!
While not a Home Run ball, of which go between 10K - 95K (and really only a handful have emerged):

......this is still an amazing find and a baseball that is guaranteed to be off the bat of Mickey Mantle and the center of anyone's collection and quite the conversation piece. How many people can say they own a ball that was hit by MICKEY MANTLE! I know of only 2 with such great provenance!
Comes with the display case as shown and the 2 LOAs.
