If you are looking at this post, I am sure you already know this, but:

Marion Motley, along with teammate Bill Willis, as well as Kenny Washington and Woody Strode helped integrate professional football in 1946, a year before Jackie Robinson broke the color barrier in baseball. They faced intense racism.

Motley played BOTH fullback and linebacker and was an exceptional blocker. Fellow Hall of Fame running back Joe Perry once called Motley "the greatest all-around football player there ever was."

Marion Motley averaged a crazy 8.2 yards in his first season, and still holds the career record of 5.7 career yards per carry.

Motley led the Browns to a perfect 15-0 record and Cleveland's first championship in 1950.
