The quickest and easiest way to tell by looking at the front of the card is that the E220's have the player name inside the frame of the picture and the E121's have the name outside of the frame.

David, what you said is true with respect to differentiating E220s from E121s. However, the E122 Am. Caramel cards also have the player's name "inside the frame of the picture," just like the E220s.
