Like many others, pre-war is a much smaller number than total. Somewhere just under 100 seems right for 1930s and earlier.

A few years ago, I actually had my total collection under 100 cards, but then the pandemic hit and I had too much time on my hands and anxiety to relieve. And then I discovered Japanese baseball cards. And now my young son is also interested in baseball, so we collect RCs for Ohtani, Guerrero Jr, Wander Franco, et al. Now my collection is truly over the place:

Prewar: >100

1940s-70s American: ~350
1940s-60s Japanese: 2000+

New cards (with my son): ~150
