Lamination is a horrible thing to do to anything made of paper, vellum. Threw a process including heat it infuses the item with plastic and covers it with plastic. To truly de-laminate anything is a time consuming task that really needs a paper conservator to do well. Otherwise, you will likely get left with a mess. Unfortunately, paper conservators charge a lot of money for their time and de-lamination. It may often be cost prohibitive unless the item is of extreme value monetarily or historically.
