This type of printing omission of a DOT in the Wiltse (pitching) caption is unique to this subject. I have checked-out all the other T206's in this set with the caption

both AL and NL. I'm quite certain that they all have their DOTS.
Furthermore, I have checked out all my Wiltse (pitching) cards in my various sets.... AMERICAN BEAUTY 460, PIEDMONT, SOVEREIGN, SWEET CAPORAL 350 Factory 30.
And single Wiltse's such as OLD MILL, POLAR BEAR, and the UZIT shown here. The DOT is missing on all of them. Therefore, I don't think we can call this a "variation".
