My take is that I’ll gladly pay a lot less for an SGC graded card. For me, it is about the card and not the piece of plastic that it’s in. Over time, I think this ridiculous fascination on a grading company making a card worth so much more will go away. It only makes sense if you’re looking to take advantage of a flip right now in the market. If that’s you, then by all means buy a card marked up 50% so that you can flip it for a few more bucks. I’m glad I can take advantage of the situation and buy the nicely slabbed SGC cards that to me look so much better.
