I really don't understand the confusion here: In his first post, Larry stated:
Very rare autograph
Email for scans
That indicates he scanned the card and had / has scans on hand. Where are those scans now?
Then in his second post he states:
Due to the unexpected large # of inquiries
I'll have to holder the card..which will take who knows how long...grade the card and signature
Card probably a 4 or 5 signature 5 or 6
Thanks for the inquiries
This tell me he is going to send the card in for grading. Am I the only one, besides Ted, who sees this?
Then Larry says:
I dont see where I said id send it in either
How about rechecking your own postings? It is there!
I don't believe this card ever existed either, nor do I believe that this very card was sold to a buyer who wishes to remain unknown. All of Larry's comments have been very convenient in not providing proof of this cards existence. It also contradicts the consistency all of Larry's other posts.
As long as I have been a member of this forum. Ted Sherman = the 1952 Topps set. Not just as a collector, but as a researcher and historian also. He has made it his quest to document every card and variation (including signed copies) and only another historian can understand this. Ted is VERY serious about this and has always graciously shared his findings with us. I wish him luck. That is my 2 cents on this subject.
