An amazing piece of history. This first edition copy of The Glory Of Their Times belonged to Hall Of Famer Rube Marquard. It was given to him by the author of the book Larry Ritter. Ritter has inscribed an inside page "For Rube - With Respect and Affection - Larry Ritter". There is a JSA sticker on the other side of this page.
As you know, Marquard's story is likely the most memorable and profound of any from the entire book. And it is because of this book that Marquard was inducted into the Hall Of Fame.
This is Marquard's copy of the book that got him inducted into the Hall. First Edition. Signed by author Larry Ritter.
There are not many better items available for collectors of items from this historic book. First Editions are difficult enough to find let alone the personal copy of the man whose story from the book became legendary.
