FS: Type 1 photo of New York Giants pitcher Joe McGinnity, taken at the Polo Grounds during the 1905 World Series vs the Philadelphia Athletics. Any original photographs of the Giants in their black 1905 WS uniforms are extremely rare.
McGinnity pitched games 2 and 4 at the Polo Grounds, with Game 2 having the highest attendance of the series at 25,000 people. The overflow crowd seen ringing the outfield in the photograph makes it likely this was taken during Game 2.
Condition is very good. There is a layer of light paper on the reverse with pencil ID. The paper backing has loss in a few spots, allowing for a Type 1 determination by PSA (it's obviously Type 1 regardless). Comes with PSA LOA.
