This is the cover letter for Red Sox outfielder Lou Finney's 1942 contract, signed by HOFer Eddie Collins in his capacity as Red Sox GM. In the letter he alludes to the start of U.S. involvement in WWII and the shadow of uncertainty it cast upon the upcoming season. $800. $750. $700 $650
