Default 1990's

You will have to pick and choose carefully and spend a ton of time looking up values. In the past 4 months I have bought around 150,000 1990's basketball cards. Isaihfan is correct in that you can expect about 10% of BV on most of the 1990's inserts. If you put them on lots on eBay, expect to get 10 to 20 cents for the minor stars and for many of the stars, and maybe 25 to 50 cents each for the inserts and parallels. It depends a lot on how you make your lots - by team, by player, by insert set, etc.

It will take a ton of time to put the lots together, scan them, and get them shipped. Don't forget to add $5 to ship 50 to 60 cards.

The way that I am handling it is this - I am going through the each box of cards and separating them into the following categories:

Cards that I think I may be able to get $3 or more and list them on eBay.
When I am done sorting I will spend a day checking prices in the Beckett Basketball Price Guide, on eBay, and on COMC. Hopefully, there will be a several hundred of these, plus a few dozen that will sell for $10, $20, or more.

Star cards - which will later be separated into player lots.

Insert cards - which will later be separated into lots by team, or by set.

Parallel cards - which will later be separated in into lots by team, or by set.

Local teams - I live in Wisconsin, so I am pulling the Bucks, Bulls, and the Timberwolves, which will later be broken into 100 or 200 card team sets and put into binders that sell well at my antique store booth.

Then, the commons, which will probably be 130,000 cards will be put in 3000 count or 5000 count boxes and sold through Facebook.

The last thing I want to say is that you need to be careful when using eBay to check prices. Don't look at BIN wishful thinking prices. Look at the Sold Items prices.

P.S. Also, be careful when checking prices in the Beckett Basketball Almanac. There are many instances where Beckett show the book value of a card at $5, but if you look on COMC you will find that there are 50 of those cards for sale for 75 cents and only 2 of those cards have been sold in the past 4 years.
