FWIW this is a great all-around scanner (I have a diifferent Epson from the same period (still going strong) but have also used the V600 at work. Great for flats, slabs, I've even used it for baseballs and other 3-d items.
One thing, if you do sell it don't forget to lock the scanner for shipping. On mine there is a switch on the back. This keeps the scanning mechanism from getting bounced around during shipping. Info should be in the manual.

Yeah, it has such great reviews, that's why I was surprised there wasn't much interest here. Oh, well. It sold on eBay for $175 + $25 shipping and the buyer paid another $20.50 sales tax on top of that (Illinois).
