Default FS: (3) 1897-99 Sporting Life Newspapers - two remaining

(3) Sporting Life Newspapers - $125 shipped total for the three. $75 shipped for the final two.
Took a scan of each, front and back, but they are larger than my scanner.

1) 1897 - May 29. 32 pages. The cover highlights the retirement announcement of HOFer Adrian "Pop" Anson. Presents nicely, with edge tears, 2 spots of tape on the front, and some toning. Good articles inside, most notably on Pope Mfg's electric automobile (they're making a comeback!) using bicycle tires as wheels. SOLD

2) 1899 - July 22. 16 pages. The cover has a photo of CIN pitcher Frank Dwyer, and articles on a possible trade between Brooklyn and Louisville (Hughie Jennings for Honus Wagner) and another on Chris Von Der Ahe, owner of the St. Louis Brown Stockings. Edge wear and tears, couple of pen marks, and toning.

3) 1899 - Sep 30. 16 pages. The cover has a photo of PIT star pitcher Sam Leever in his rookie season. He pitched league-high 379 innings in 51 games that season. In best condition of the three, with a few edge tears.

The latter two I took scans with them still in the plastic wrapper. Happy to take more scans/pics but all articles in all three newspapers are 100% readable.

Thanks,
Rob
