Default Soaking cards in the winter

I bought this investment lot of twenty-eight 1971-72 Topps hockey cards for $3.70 or 14c each, and the cards needed a dunk in the kitchen sink to try to flatten them out. It's 27 degrees this morning in NE Florida, and using the normal "paper towel" methods, the cards are just not drying out. So I had to add an additional step, a partial "kiln dry" to these beauties.
