Need some input here. I keep telling myself I’m not going to submit to PSA (or any other 3rd party grading company), and keep violating that pledge, lol. Here goes;
Is it just me, or do others agree that PSA has become more than anal retentive (is that ok to write on this forum?), in issuing favorable (eg fair) grades for “high profile” cards?
If you don’t mind, please
comment on these three cards that just came back from PSA;
1. The rookie Dr J shown has excellent centering, sharp corners and edges, and no flaws other than a few print marks on the yellow background. Does EX-MINT seem accurate?
2. The Bradshaw rookie is vertically off-centered by approx 70/30. The apparent “ding,” on bottom right is actually nothing more than a streak of whiteness. No creases or wrinkles whatsoever...PSA-4!!??
3. The 72 Kareem has nothing more than a 60/40 horizontal off-centeredness and near perfect vertical centering. Clean surface and sharp corners. A PSA-6!?
Apologize for the shadow as don’t have a scanner, but would appreciate any feedback and suggestions if a regrade is warranted. (Backs left out as they don’t show anything that would effect the grades)
