Gettyimages has miles of this stuff. After watching the Wagner footage, I checked out Connie Mack from the thirties. It's all fantastic.
There was an old joke about Wagner. Somebody asked him who the new second baseman was and Wagner supposedly replied, "Dots Miller."
I was expecting European accented English, something that isn't there.
Walter Johnson's voice comes across high and nasal, but that may have as much to do with the primitive sound equipment. Maybe Henry Thomas can give us some insight.
