1905 cabinet photo of the Romeo, MI local baseball team with a couple of ringers in Christy Mathewson and his catcher Frank Bowerman.

Romeo was Bowerman's hometown and Matty was visiting following the Giants 1905 World Series win (you can find many newspaper articles about Matty's visit). Comes from the family of one of the local players where it has been for 100+ years. Names of all players written on back, as well as a much later newspaper clipping looking back on Mathewson's 1905 season.

Most likely one of a kind, beautiful early Mathewson item. Measures 8" x 10"

This one hurts to let go as I'm sure it will never be seen again.
