Welcome Pilon!
Sorry to hear you're currently in a tough spot, but glad to hear you're fighting...keep it up!
I'm lucky enough to not have the level of hardship that you are currently dealing, but I think we can all relate a little to the reality that life throws us challenges along the way that affects our ability to focus on buying baseball cards (because let's be honest, baseball cards fall pretty far down the list of "real life" priority). And I agree with you, even when I'm going through phases when I can't actively add to my collection, this board is a great place to come and see what other people are buying, learn new things, and overall just enjoy the hobby regardless of making new purchases.
Even if you aren't able to actively add right now, I suggest you make an "introduction post" on the main page and introduce yourself, let us all know what interests you (pre-war, post-war, etc.), what your favorite set is, and then throw in a scan of one of your favorite cards so we can all enjoy looking at your collection too.
