1984-91 O'Connell & Son Ink 8x10 B&W Portrait Variations
T.S. O'Connell first started the 8x10 watercolor series in 1984 and continued expanding it throughout the 1990s. Each watercolor portrait was hand-numbered to 500. After creating the black & white drawing for a player, he printed out copies. Then when you ordered the portraits he would hand paint them and send them through the mail. Here is the list:
1984-91 O'Connell & Son Ink 8x10 Watercolor Portraits.
As part of his agreement with taking his magazine editing position, he agreed to no longer sell any of his products since they were unlicensed. Last year he sold his remaining inventory to Frisch Cards so some of the black & white uncolored portraits have come onto the market. Early portraits seem to have /500 copied on the bottom while later versions did not and he would hand write in the entire serial number.

I have a couple uncolored ones that I got from Fritsch. I've never seen a colored one for the guys I collect.
