And today, I got this in the mail. It's not in the greatest shape, and I've never heard of the guy. But it's my very first T206, and now I can look him up and do some research about him. Going forward, I hope to get cards closer to Ex condition as I'm not a big fan of creases, rounded corners, etc.
By the way, this came in with another lot I bought. I didn't buy this particular card. It was in a larger lot with 3-4 graded cards, some 70s-80s star base and some 1990s star base and inserts that I bought on Blowout for $50.

I still remember the 1st 2 pre-war cards I ever got were gifts from my father. A 1933 Goudey Pepper Martin and soon afterwards a T206 of the mustachioed John Titus! I have a soft spot for those 2 cards ever since.
Ollie Pickering is actually a pretty solid player. He had a long Major League career and was teammates at various times during his career with a young Walter Johnson, Nap Lajoie, and in 1897 with a young rookie for the Louisville Colonels named Honus Wagner!
