Default 1976 Topps #19 George Brett is insanely difficult

Ridiculous Brett card and way, way more difficult in high grade than his RC, or perhaps any other post 1970 card in high grade. Consider this: 2,336 graded to date and .013% above grade 8 (with only two 8.5s and 28 in MINT 9). No 10s and barely over .01% above 8. Remarkable. One 9 just went for over $4600 on PWCC. I am pissed as my friend auctioned one last year with REA and it "only" fetched $4k with the BP.

Am I crazy to think this card has not yet seen its true value? Is $10K not far from reality? '76 and Brett collectors please chime in.

So after almost 30 years of PSA and still no 10s leads me to feel that there will never be a 10. I think a lot in 9 have to be trimmed. Never well centered (corner position on sheet) and lots of PDs almost always.

Truly a mega-difficult post 1970 card in high grade.
