[QUOTE=todeen;1983321]Sticking with the World Series, I have picked up a couple news service photos. The first is from the '39 series, Joltin' Joe sliding safely into third. The next is from the '40 series, Bucky Walters being congratulated after hitting a home run.
Just an FYI, the players congratulating Walters are Lew Riggs (center) and Morrie Arnovich (right). Behind Riggs it is probably Eddie Joost.
