I think t206 Cobbs, on whole, have gone up dramatically over the past 2-3 years. First, the green took off. Then red followed, which, bc of the pose, is the natural result of the green getting so expensive. I feel like lately the bat off has had its turn to rise in value (the poor bat on has not fared as well - yet - except in higher grades, in which case they can be dang expensive). I think these rising t206 cobb values follow the rise in Cobb pieces generally (e.g., all Cobb post cards, 1914 CJ, etc), and t206s in general, which have gone up a lot over the past years. And, I think there is room to grow.
Also, regarding rarity- the 1952 tops mantle is not particularly rare, but it’s value just keeps going up over time. As a friend once told me (hi Sarno), true rarity does not always = value. Demand creates the value and relative rarity results from how in demand the card is
