Default Opinions on selling high grade 1960 Mantle?

Hi all,

Just wanted to gauge some opinions. When my son was born a little over a year ago I wanted to start a collection for him (both as an investment but also to hope to spark some interest in collecting vintage as he got older). Wanted him to have a special card and after much research decided on a PSA 7.5 1960 Mantle. Bought through a large consigner on EBay. The card is nice but to be honest ever since I got it it just never really resonated with me - probably because in the back of my mind always wondering with that high a grade if it has ever been altered, etc.

As it doesn't quite have the sentimental value I thought it would, I am considering selling it and instead using money to buy either a few lower grade T206 cards - maybe a Mathewson and Johnson, or earlier issue Mantle, Aaron, Clemente instead which I think I (and hopefully he) will appreciate more going forward.

I have honestly never sold anything on EBay, only bought. Seems like my best bet to maximize return, as opposed to someone buying from me as a seller with zero feedback, would be to go the consignment route. But am torn with all the bad press and class action against the bigger houses (irony right that I originally bought the card from one of them). Any advice on best options to sell if I do end up moving forward?

Thanks for the feedback!
