19th Century Uniforms
Occasionally, a uniform or part of a uniform from a 19th century team will come up for sale or auction. They seem to always be from minor teams, with the exception of some 1890s major league uniforms that show up once in a great while. Does anybody remember a National Association uniform or an early National League uniform come up? We're talking the 1871- 1880 time period. I don't recall ever seeing one. It seems like some of these uniforms would have survived, being from major teams. We have balls, bats, trophy balls, scorecards, medals, etc from this period, but no uniforms?
