When the Orioles ended their relationship with the Stockton Ports after 1971, the next four seasons saw the Orioles class A affiliate in the California League located in Lodi,CA. During that span, Lodi went through several name changes and averaged between 300-600 fans per game. From 1972-1974, Lodi was managed by Jimmy Schaffer. In 1975, the Orioles were managed by Bobby Malkmus.
Here are programs and a few team issued and Mel Bailey postcards from those teams. I have a bunch of postcards of players in Lodi uniforms, that I'll post when I'm back in Maine.
1972 Lodi Orions
The 1972 Orions finished 67-73. A few players included Manager Jimmy Schaffer, Bob Bailor, Terry Clapp and Larry Harlow. Terry Clapp never made it to Baltimore.
