While I am doing that I am also making small notes and placing them between the sleeve and the top loader letting my son and/or my wife know the value/rarity of my higher end cards in case something were to ever happen to me.
I like your idea much better but with my lack of computer skills, my way will have to do for now.

Notes are good!! It's something we don't think about too often but it's important.
I have an absurd collection of negatives that include original Conlon, Burke and Brace and regional photographers from 1940-1980...too many to count, really.
I'm ashamed of what I've spent but my kids can enjoy their modest fruit. How on Earth can I mark all of 'em?
