Gunther Brewing Company was one of the original beer sponsor for the Baltimore Orioles and became the primary sponsor in 1956. Their slogan for the Orioles back in 1954 were – “Get on the Oriole bandwagon with Gunther”. This is a relatively common Orioles poster, but not a lot are in the best of shape and some, when found, have been folded. In 1959 Gunther put out a team poster, around 24”x36”, of the Orioles pictured in front of the scoreboard with the Gunther ad predominantly shown.

Yes, the original scoreboard had a bottle cap, which was later replaced with the bottle. Here is a picture from 1954 that appeared in the Baltimore Sun, with a caption that read "Gunther presents the world's largest scoreboard to citizens of Baltimore".
