Apparently the London Lancet was not very happy about the ATC's interpretation and inferences from their research. They called-out the Sweet Caporal brand specifically in 1905.

The box advertising seems to align pretty well with the attached Los Angeles Herald Sweet Caporal "ask Dad, he knows" ad from 1916.

If the box is full of 1916 packs, that aligns with the T-35 tobacco card issue date referenced on Todd's site below.

Even better if you can find Factory No. 30, 2nd Dist N.Y. printed somewhere on that box or its contents.

If you can make these connections, that box is worth considerably more than $100.
