Thanks for your analysis. I believe this card does indeed have a diamond cut to it but would grade as OC likely. It hasn't been in the sun. It was just in a box of other 69s sitting there unnoticed for decades until someone helped me realize there is something different about it.

I attribute the faded look to the strange printing process that Topps used on this particular card that also accounts for the no outline. Perhaps not the proper percentage of a certain color? But who knows, that's just a guess.

In these days of card grading, just be careful, as the card appears to be miscut and is not a true rectangle. I drew a red box around the OP's pic to illustrate what jumps out at me. While the left/right sides seem pretty straight and parallel to each other, the top right side (especially) looks like it was clipped (starting above "RO" and slanting downward to the right). The bottom, although angled, seems to be straighter?? The card itself is obviously trapezoidal, and the lightness/fading could indicate it may have spent time in the sun?? Dunno. Measure it out and/or put it on top of a newer card you know to be the correct size, and see how it fits, determine how closely the dimensions match. Perhaps it's more or less an optical illusion?? Hard to say. Just my $.02...

Here's one of mine (look at how much darker the colors are) that I never got graded due to a similar, but much more obvious, miscutting (is that even a word?) problem on the top right, starting in the area above the "S"...
