After nearly three years I believe it can be confirmed that the 1985 Thom McAn Benny Ayala can be found in two different colors, orange (gold?) and red. A seller currently has all of the Latin players from the set on eBay, and his Ayala is clearly red. Unfortunately his price is a little too steep for me
. I left the Concepcion in the scan to contrast the red Ayala and show it is the same color as the orange (gold?) Ayala. ETA, the seller is correct about describing these as a Puerto Rico set as all ten players are from Puerto Rico.
