On May 8th, 1907 Francis Xavier "Big Jeff" Pfeffer no-hit the Reds in Boston.
Big Jeff Pfeffer had a relatively short and somewhat undistinguished career in the ML aside from the no-hitter.
His autograph is pretty obscure and I'm happy to have added this nicely signed GPC to my collection of vintage no-hit pitcher sigs.
Pfeffer had an earlier death date, passing in 1954.
It was in a PSA slab when I bought it, but I happily played "Free Willie" today.
