The 68 3D set was magnificent but apparently to expensive to roll out on a wide scale basis. Not until 85 and 86 did they take another shot at a 3D product in a new clunky caste format. I have those sets but they are tough to handle, store or display. I don't think they were very popular .

In 2011 Topps went back to the more 68 type 3D type cards for a limited subset of it's Lineage Line. Those are nice cards
