Yes, the pop reports are the best place.
I don't want to mix a lot of Type 2 posts on a Type 3 thread, (I guess I did that already

). It seems that the Type 2's that were issued in 1914 are the most common, for the most part. Then the 1915's, and the 1916's are generally the toughest. If you look at the type 2 players in "Baseball Reference, you will come across players who never played for the team that is shown on the caption of the card, and these tend to be the later issues of Type 2. For instance, Jeff (Ed) Sweeney Played for New York from 1908 - 1915, and his Type 2 captioned New York Amer. is pretty common. He also has a Type 2 that is captioned Richmond, but as far as I can tell, he never played for Richmond. He was playing in Toledo in 1916. The Richmond version of his Type 2 is a tough one to find.
