If you're lucky, it will have a printed datecode and quantity. Some places did that. it will be a number like

XXXXXXX x/41 10M


The xs are what I think is the job number, x/41 would be the date printed, and 10M would mean 10,000 copies.


Not everything had a code, and they don't always have all of that, and sometimes part is at the lower left of the page and the rest at the lower right.


If it was a union printer, there should be a union logo and number which indicates the printing company.
