If that's the case, I'd be a seriously pissed off card owner, especially on a Cobb card. I have a number of strip cards, and the paper is thicker than say, a Ramly or a Cracker Jack, so I'm not sure the slabbing process would tear a strip card. That said, if the card had a tear like that, to the point where an upper corner was barely still attached, it kind of makes you really wonder about the value of third party grading.
